Finance Officer - Maidenhead, Berkshire - £31,000 - £35,000

This Multi Academy Trust operates 3 small schools that are set amidst rural villages surrounded by beautiful countryside in Berkshire.

The Trust is seeking to recruit an outstanding Trust Finance Manager to oversee the Trust’s finances. The Trust Finance Manager is a key member of the team with significant strategic and operational responsibilities for the financial management of the Trust

Reporting to the Trust Business Manager, CEO and Board of Directors, your primary responsibilities will be:

•To produce and monitor three year and annual budgets for the schools in partnership with the CEO

and Directors

•Prepare and submit accurate and timely monthly consolidated management accounts and forecasts to the Directors

•To manage the balance sheet, year end and audit processes in accordance with DfE and ESFA

financial guidelines.

•Be responsible for processing payroll and monitoring staff absences

•Support the office staff to manage pupil accounts through online payment systems

•Be responsible for safeguarding and security processes i.e issuing and managing staff entry fobs

•Manage debtors, creditors and cash flow

•Provide cover for other members of the administration team as and when required

•Responsible for generating additional sources of funding

•Manage asset registers

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant. A strong analytical approach is essential, along with the ability to develop financial systems and procedures.

You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and external organisations at all levels. Previous experience within an education setting would be advantageous but is not essential.
