Job Overview

An internship is a unique opportunity for students to gain a competitive edge by getting hands-on experience in one of the world’s leading global cities. The internship division organizes and monitors hundreds of placements at the London Centre each year. As an Internships Coordinator, you will act as the primary contact for internship services and for students interning with professional businesses across London.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and monitor student internship placements at organizations and businesses throughout London
Engage with businesses and organizations to recognize the benefits of this organisation's intern and understand the associated responsibilities.
Assist with the arrival and orientation of interns; provide supervision and on-site advisor for issues relating to student internships.
Liaise with US-based team during pre-departure, providing pre-departure information for students
Maintain intern and site databases to a high level of accuracy
Attend this organisation's events including arrival and departure parties, mid-term dinners and special events
Work as part of the London Centre team, providing cross-team support as needed
Carry an emergency mobile phone outside of office hours on a rotational basis with other members of staff (Full training and back up resources will be provided)
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience
Excellent customer services skills
A high level of professionalism and comfort working across levels within and outside of the organisation
Resourceful and out-of-the-box thinker with strong people skills and a demonstrated ability to connect with people to develop new internship sites
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional and cross-location teams to advance the work of the organisation
Capacity to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
A high level of proficiency in computer software particularly Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
An aptitude for working with databases or CRM systems
A flexible, growth mindset
The legal right to work in the U.K.
Preferred:
Experience working with and advising students
Understanding internship and experiential education frameworks
Knowledge of the US education system
Hours
Full time. Standard hours are 9:00 AM to 17:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Due to the nature of the study abroad field, additional time beyond regular office hours is to be expected in this role.?
