School Business Manager - Nottingham £12 - £16 per hour

The school needs a Business Manager immediately and this would become permanent for the right candidate. It will pay up to £29,400 for the permanent role. Please do submit your CV if this job would suit you permanently.

"The Head Teacher and Governors wish to appoint a School Business Manager to oversee the Human Resources, Finance, Premises and Health and Safety aspects of the school. The successful candidate will head up the Resources Team which consists of the School Business Assistants for HR and Finance; the Premises and Building Manager and the school cleaner. The postholder will be line managed by the Headteacher.
The successful candidate will be outward facing in their approach as a key part of the role will be securing additional funding for the school in order to improve pupil outcomes and enhance their education. Whilst this role is not child facing an understanding of the context of Special Education would be desirable with experience and knowledge within in HR, Finance and Health & Safety essential requirements. Qualifications - Essential
NVQ4 Level or equivalent in Business Management with financial knowledge, people and estate management experience
Experience, Knowledge and Skills - Essential
Budget management skills
Authoritive knowledge of specialist work areas
Broad knowledge and understanding of school processes and functions specialist software/web based systems, policies and regulations- such as financial standards, purchasing, procurement and catering
Work within define regulations and procedures but require own judgement
Longer term planning forward (specifically financial and premises)
Staff management, including recruitment, training, performance and absence management
Can provide day to day management of schools budgetary systems and admin functions such as HR activity, contracts and tendering; premises, site safety and development
Can provide support to the Head Teacher and Leadership Team in particular area to support and influence strategic planning in finance and site management
Ability to communicate regularly and effectively with a wide range of school colleagues and external stakeholders
Ability to negotiate, mange and monitor contracts and tenders
