Salary: Actual salary £17,865.27 - £20,228.49 dependant on experience and qualifications
Hourly Rate: £10.13 - £11.47 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, 8.30am-4.30pm, flexibility within these hours is essential and you are required to work till 5pm one day a week for staff training and meetings. Term time only.
Start Date: End of August 2022
This school is part of a UK wide group of 20 special needs schools.
Once you pass your probation they will invest in you and they will pay for you to become a qualified teacher, if that is a career path you want to take.
This School supports children aged 6-11 years with communication difficulties typically associated with Asperger’s Syndrome and Autism.
The school is linked to two other nearby schools in the Group and share the same Headteacher and Senior Management Team, however each site has its own Assistant Head and team of Teachers and TAs. Although the sites operate separately on the whole, students do cross between sites occasionally.
To establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils in order to support them feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the School.
To promote and encourage independence and personal development
Support the Class Teacher in all areas of the day to day running of the class
To respond to the varying and changing needs of the school and adapt to any task presented to achieve the smooth running of the school. Some physical intervention may be needed upon occasion, full training on this will be provided.
To promote pupils’ cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development and spiritual well-being.

Skills and qualifications
GCSE Maths and English qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent is essential.
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable but not essential)
Experience of working in a special school environment is highly desirable.
